How did you get involved with Roller Derby?

My boyfriend brought home a flyer advertising an upcoming bout and suggested we go watch it. I said, “Go watch it? I’m trying out!”

How did you decide on your Derby alias?

I wanted a name based on a real woman role model, and Amelia Earhart was always a hero of mine ever since she was my subject for a semester-long research project in the seventh grade. She was way ahead of her time in coolness and attitude!

Your favorite thing about Roller Derby?

Two things - the camaraderie and the exercise.

Worst injury?

A bruised tailbone. Not fun!!!

Most heard saying?

“Sorry!” as I hit people or fall in practice. You won’t hear me saying that during bouts though. : )

Next time you're at the afterparty buy her a

A ginger ale and cranberry – and a cheeseburger pizza would be awesome too!
