How did you get involved with Roller Derby?

My best friend told me about it b/c she had friends that played. I had been skating since I was 7 years of age and love mosh pits so I knew it was for me. I started skating more regularly on my own. Then I went to the very first CTRG seasons beatings debut in December 2006. I fell in love there and joined that night.

How did you decide on your Derby alias?

I spent a long time going through names. Half were already taken. A few I decided were not brutal enough. I very often listen to Pantera driving to practice, and one day while rocking out it just came to me. Pam TERROR! A terrible terror! Or sometimes referred to at the terrorsaurus-rex or terrordactyle (because of my spikey helmet).

Your favorite thing about Roller Derby?

Skating and hitting people have to be the top part about derby. I love skating really fast and when your team works together and gets the jammer through the pack successfully. I have also never hung around so many girls before without constant bickering. We may not all be best buds, but it is always great to see friendly, smiling, encouraging faces at practice.

Worst injury?

I got elevatored once and landed on my head, then my back legs and arms hit the floor. I couldn’t see straight for most the rest of practice and had a massive headache. I went to the Emergency care that night, and luckily it was NOT a concussion. I did hurt my neck, back, and head and sat out for a little over a week.

Most heard saying?

“Sorry” followed by “there are no sorrys in derby” Also “inside” “outside” “Jammer is approaching” and “Box”
